Rearranged the order of information on the tweets to bring the activity type and location to the front of the tweet with the neighborhood and city hashtags at the end. This is to facilitate being able to see more relevant information when alerts for tweets or text messages come on various devices (mobile phones for example).

Replaced forward slashes “/” with ampersands “&” for street corner locations to be compatible with Google and Bing maps

Tweet3PO is a community focused, joint project started by @JohnnyDiggz and @Grobleski in Orlando, Florida as an extension to the traditional neighborhood watch. Tweet3PO empowers citizens with quick and easy ways to receive and distribute information on a neighborhood or citywide basis using existing social networks.

Neighbors can subscribe to one or more local neighborhoods using Twitter or Facebook to receive automated updates from the Orlando Police Department Active Calls database as well as updates from local and regional weather stations, and city, county or neighborhood associations.

Additional neighborhoods and social network alerts are being added and we welcome input from our friends, officials, neighbors and followers.

To take a peek at what we’re talking about, check out the Orlando Police Department Active Call Reports in the Orlando Neighborhood Watch section. Or visit the Lake Eola Heights Facebook Page or Follow the Tweet3po Orlando Twitter feed.
