Tweet3po.org is a project started by Dave Grobleski and Johnny Diggz.  In the spring of 2009, Diggz and Dave were sitting on Dave’s front porch in Lake Eola Heights in Downtown Orlando, talking about Twitter and Social Networking, when a police car sped by, obviously in a hurry.   We wondered where he was going so fast and thought, wouldn’t it be cool if we could find out, AND wouldn’t it be REALLY COOL if we could figure out how make that information easily available to other neighbors?

Thus Tweet3po was born.

A few months later, with cooperation from the Orlando Police Department and a dash of rocket science,  neighbors in Orlando can subscribe to Tweet3po’s automated updates for 10 different Orlando Neighborhoods using Twitter or Facebook.    And we have plans to make it even better.

It’s really about making neighborhoods safer and communities stronger.  In fact, Tweet3po.org was founded on the idea that empowering citizens with information can transform communities.   One way we transform raw data into useful and actionable information is by collecting, aggregating and reporting on it…whether it happened 10 minutes ago, 10 hours ago or 10 years ago.   If it takes a village…empower the village.

That’s the idea, anyway ;-)

We’re excited about the progress we’ve made so far and we hope you find it useful as well.  For press or other inquiries, Google Voice us @ (323) 963-4449.   Leave a message and Johnny or Dave will get back to you.
